Thailand has some of the most restrictive and complicated entry regulations. At this point, everyone, including those who are vaccinated, must undergo a PCR test before going to this holiday country, as well as undergo further tests on the spot. However, since April 1, the regulations have changed to the delight of tourists.

On April 1, 2022, foreign tourists coming under any of the current three entry programs - Test & Go, Sandbox and Alternative Quarantine - will be able to enter Thailand without showing a negative RT-PCR test result within 72 hours prior to travel .

The other rules have not changed for the time being - you should perform a PCR test upon arrival and an antigen test on the fifth day of your stay. Vaccinated people can take advantage of the Test & Go and Sandbox programs. As part of Test & Go, immediately after crossing the border, you must undergo a one-day quarantine in an accredited hotel in order to perform the RT-PCR test and wait for the result, without leaving the room. In case of a negative result, you can travel all over Thailand.

The Sandbox program is aimed at people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 traveling to the following areas: Phuket, Surat Thani (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao), Phang Nga, Krabi, Chonburi, including Pattaya, Trat (Koh Chang ). Required to arrive directly at Phuket or Krabi Airport. For Sandbox in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan or Koh Tao - Arrive at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport followed by a secure transfer to Samui Airport (must be within the same ticket).
