The Greek National Tourism Organization has launched a new campaign promoting city breaks to their cities. It invites you to spend a "greekend", that is "an authentic Greek weekend".
With the main slogan "Greekend - end your week like a Greek" ("greekend: End your week like a Greek") and the motto of the main campaign [promoting Greece] "All you want is Greece", "new dynamic campaign of the Ministry of Tourism and GNTO emphasizes the beautiful side of living in Greek cities and the rich experiences that guests can enjoy during the Greekend, ”reads the GNTO information describing the idea of the promotion.
The campaign puts particular emphasis on visiting two cities that are easiest to reach from different European cities by plane - Athens and Thessaloniki. Here you can experience "a great city weekend full of excitement". The advantages of such a trip are good weather, short distances and a variety of local "food, drink and entertainment".
The heroes of the advertising spot "wake up in a sunny city and have plenty of time to get to know its charms". They can visit monuments, museums, walk on the beach, drink coffee in an open-air cafe, eat tasty local food, shop and have fun together.
