XPlanar opens up new degrees of freedom in product handling: Free-floating planar movers move over individually arranged planar tiles on freely programmable routes. The floating 2D product transport creates completely new possibilities for handling products both within the machine and between several machines.
The user has the individual freedom of movement of driverless transport systems: Individual goods can be transported to any location via any route. XPlanar combines this flexibility with the dynamics of a linear motor and thus enables cycle time-optimized linking of individual production steps. In addition, XPlanar significantly simplifies individual production steps: the degrees of freedom and positioning accuracies familiar from robotics are available for 6D product processing. The positioning of a product during processing becomes the task of the transport system for the first time. The levitation effect replaces any mechanical guidance component. Cleaning and maintenance costs are drastically reduced.
XPlanar offers unique advantages for efficient batch size 1 production in all industries. The XPlanar movers transport each product through the machine on individually defined routes. Individual production steps can be linked with one another as required, so that rigid station sequences are a thing of the past. The movements of the individual movers are completely decoupled from each other: the products can overtake each other, are discharged or accumulated, for example to dry, without affecting the further production flow.
