With the new FAULHABER Motion Controllers MC 3001 available as MC 3001 B (board-to-board connector) or MC 3001 P (28-pin plug connector) the drive specialist has managed to create high-performance controllers for a wide range of applications despite the very high level of miniaturization Bringing control and positioning tasks for DC micro motors, linear DC servo motors or brushless DC motors onto the market.

A height from 2.6 millimeters and a format from 16×27 millimeters make it clear that the new motion controllers are particularly suitable where space is limited, but at the same time high control dynamics and performance are required.

As non-housed versions of the FAULHABER Motion Controller, they optionally control miniature DC motors, linear DC servomotors or brushless DC motors from the FAULHABER product portfolio from 6 to 30 millimeters using the integrated output stage with optimized current measurement. In addition, they can be operated with 1.4 amps in continuous operation and up to 5 amps peak current.

Despite the extreme miniaturization, the new MC 3001 have the same functionality and interfaces (RS232 and CANopen) as well as encoder interfaces as the other controllers of the MC V3.0 generation. Used as an intelligent driver module, they show their strengths in customer-specific applications in the fields of robotics, automation technology, mechanical engineering as well as medical and laboratory technology.

So that customers can start developing their drive system quickly and easily, FAULHABER has a starter kit available that includes a motherboard and makes it easier to get started.
